Matt Sperisen

Matt Sperisen was hired as Pacific's Director of Men's Basketball Operations on August 23, 2013. He took over as the Special Assistant to the Head Men's Basketball Coach in the summer of 2015.

Matt's responsibilities include assisting with fundraising, producing email newsletters, coordinating game day operations, and assisting with the overall marketing plan for the men's basketball program.

Matt graduated from Menlo College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with an emphasis in marketing.  He earned a Masters in Physical Education, Health and Recreation from Saint Mary's College of California in 2000 and his California Teaching Credential in 2002 from Chapman University.

Sperisen comes to the Tiger program with a combined 22 years of front office marketing experience and on-floor basketball coaching. He had administrative stops at De Anza College, the San Antonio Spurs, Taco Cabana and San Jose State University that totaled 10 years.  Matt was also a high school head basketball coach (Monte Vista Christian, Silver Creek, Del Mar and Galt) for 10 seasons and an assistant community college coach (Cosumnes River) for two seasons. Matt taught World Literature and Health on the campus of Saint Mary's High School in Stockton prior to moving into a full-time roll with the basketball team. 

Matt and his wife, MariaElena, reside in Galt with their two children.
