Dwight Young served as an assistant coach at Pacific for three seasons, from 2013-14 until 2015-16.

Young came to Pacific from Modesto Christian High School, where he was the assistant head coach for two years, starting in 2011. He helped Modesto Christian HS to a 29-4 record in 2012-13 and a berth in the Open Division State Playoffs. He has over 17 years of experience as a basketball coach, trainer and program administrator within the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).

He has also been the Northern California Regional Director for Phenom Camp. It is a premier invitation camp for the top junior high and high school players in the country. 

Young graduated from Oregon State in 1993 with a B.S. in Communications and Economics. He lives in Stockton with his wife Khaleedah, and his three children, Krystal, Dwight Jr. and Molly.
