In his final two years at Clear Lake High School, Sanni averaged 25 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game. As a senior (2017) he registered 27 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists. Sanni was named the District Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore in 2014-15 and in 2016-17 was named a 6A Offensive Most Valuable Player, while also receiving First Team All-Region honors.
