Biography

2022-23 (Junior)
Played in 27 games, starting in 20 of them. Recorded his first-career 30 point performance with a season-high 30 points against San Diego on February 11. Reached double figures in 20 games and led the team with an average of 13.9 points per game. 

2021-22 (Junior, Oklahoma State)
Appeared in 27 games including one start. Ranked sixth on the team in scoring, averaging 6.0 points per game while adding 3.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. Reached a career-high in points during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 17, and leading the Cowboys to an upset win over No. 14 Texas on Jan. 8. Scored in double figures five times during the season, highlighted by a 10-point performance in a win over Oklahoma on Feb. 5. In the win over the Sooners, Boone shot 44.4 percent from the floor and collected four rebounds. 

2020-21 (Sophomore, Oklahoma State)
Opened the season with a 10-point, 12-rebound performance in the win at UT Arlington for his first career double-double. He also posted a 12-rebound night in the win over Oral Roberts on Dec. 8, which made him one of four Cowboys with a pair of double-digit rebound games in 2020-21. Started the first eight games and saw action in 27 games with an average of 14.4 minutes per contest. Doubled his scoring from a season ago, finishing with 4.4 points, 4.1, and 0.6 assists per game. 

2019-20 (Freshman, Oklahoma State)
Led the Cowboys in plus/minus per 40 minutes (+6.6), and his plus/minus of +39 ranked fifth. Shot 34.3 percent from 3-point on the season, which trailed only Thomas Dizagwa (.415) on the roster. Averaged 2.7 points per game, including a season-high 11-points in the season opener against Oral Roberts on Nov. 6, and saw action in 26 games as a freshman, including a start at No. 1 Baylor on Feb. 8. Proved to be a capable rebounder with 2.3 boards per game, including an eight-rebound game against Western Michigan on Nov. 22.

High School
Boone was a three-star recruit and one of the nation’s top wing players coming out of Memorial High School where he led the Chargers to a 77-8 record over his last three seasons. Boone teamed up with his brother Kalib and led the Chargers to three-straight Oklahoma Class 5A titles and was named co-MVP of the Class 5A state tournament in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. In his final two seasons at Memorial, Boone was a force on both sides of the ball, averaging 16.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. The accolades also came for Boone during his final seasons at the high school level as he was named to the Oklahoman’s Super 5 First Team, earned an Oklahoma Coaches Association Large East All-State team selection, and was a finalist for the Tulsa World’s All-World Player of the Year.
