Biography
2022-23 (Junior)
Appeared in 33 games and earned the start in seven games played. Averaged 10.3 points per game and added 2.6 rebounds per game and 50 assists on the season. Scored a season-high 25 points in a win over San Diego on Feb. 11.
2021-22 (Sophomore, UTSA)
Appeared in 21 games and earned the start in the final 11 games played. Averaged 13.9 points per game, which ranked second on the team, and added 2.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists. Scored in double figures 15 times, including scoring a season-high 27 points in a win over Denver on Nov. 16. A natural scorer, Ivy-Curry scored 10 or more points in eight of 10 C-USA games played and averaged 13.4 points per game during that stretch.
2020-21 (Freshman, UTSA)
Earned C-USA All-Freshman Team honors as he played in all 26 games with 11 starts. Averaged 7.2 points, 1.5 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game in 19.9 minutes per game. Shot 40.1 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range while shooting 68.3 percent from the free-throw line. In C-USA play, he averaged 7.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, shooting 39.6 percent from the field, an impressive 47.8 percent from three-point range, and 75 percent from the free-throw line.Â
High School
Ivy-Curry had a successful high school career as a four-year starter at La Marque High School. Leading the Cougars to a 32-7 record in the 2019-20 season, Ivy-Curry garnered District 24-4A Most Valuable Player and led the team to the district championships. As a senior, Ivy-Curry averaged 31.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 4.8 steals per game, earning 4A All-State and All-Region honors from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. He was also a finalist for the Guy V. Lewis Award, presented to the top player in the city of Houston, and was named to the Houston Chronicle All-Greater Houston First-Team.
