Biography
2015-16 (Sophomore):
Pacific''s sixth man, D.J. played in all 28 games for the Tigers during his sophomore campaign while averaging 14.7 minutes per contest. Playing on the wing, D.J. averaged 4.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game. He came up with four double-digit scoring efforts during the year including posting a season-best 16 points at San Francisco on Dec. 23. D.J.''s best effort on the year, however, came in Pacific''s upset of BYU on Feb. 6 when he posted nine points including going 6-for-6 from the line late in the game to help the Tigers'' hold off the Cougars on the road.
2014-15 (Freshman):
D.J. saw 12 games this 2014-15 season for the Tigers. He played progressively more minutes in each of his first four games. He has a career-high seven points in 14 minutes against Washington on November 23. He has a career-best four rebounds at Alaska Anchorage.
High School:
D. J. is a 6-4 guard from Los Angeles, California. He''ll enter Pacific as a freshman in 2014-15 after finishing his career at Crespi High School in Encino, California. D.J. earned First Team All-Mission League honors as a senior in 2013-14, averaging 16.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. As a junior in 2012-13, he averaged 9.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, while earning Second Team All-Mission League honors. He helped lead the Celts to a record of 23-9 last year, and finished the season in the semi-finals of the CIF State Playoffs. Ursery is ranked by ESPN Recruiting Nation as the 23rd overall rated player and 7th rated shooting guard in California, and the 61st rated shooting guard nationally.

D.J. is the son of Christy Cox and Shaun Ursery. He has two siblings, Shauna and Givani. He is communications major.
