2011-12:

Colin appeared in 30 games for the Tigers, making 15 starts ... He averaged 4.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game and was third on the team with 17 steals ... Beatty had a career-high 14 points in the season opener against Cal State Monterey Bay ... His first career double-double came against Fresno State on Dec. 29 with 10 points and 10 rebounds ... Colin had three double-digit scoring games as a junior. 

Barton Community College:

Beatty spent two years at Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas ... Colin was a second Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College selection as both a freshman and a sophomore and helped the team to a 19-11 record, scoring in double figures 20 times ... He was second on the team with 13.2 points per game in 2010-11, adding 169 rebounds, 106 assists and 43 steals. On November 6, 2010, Beatty scored a career-high 35 points at Heston JC ...  As a freshman in 2009-10, he was second on the team with 14.3 points per game while leading the Cougars with 8.7 rebounds per contest ... He had 25 double figure scoring games in 2009-10, with a season-high 30 points at Brown Mackie College on Jan. 4.

High School:

Beatty prepped at DuVal High School in Lanham, Md. ... Colin posted 19.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per tilt as a senior ... He earned Washington Post All-Met Honorable Mention honors in his final high school season ... In addition, he earned 4A First Team, All-League and All-Gazette honors in his time at DuVal.

Personal:

Colin was born in Washington, D.C. and was raised in Lanham, Maryland ... He is the son of Calvin and Debra Beatty and has two siblings, Candyce and Andre ... Beatty is studying communication and aspires to coach a college basketball team. In his personal time, Colin enjoys playing 2k11, rapping and sleeping.
