University of the Pacific

2021 (Senior):
Stayed back another semester to obtain a concentration in analytics and another season of soccer with the COVID-19 eligibility. He appeared in 15 matches and earned 6 starts. He recorded 2 assists and played a total of 711 minutes. 

2020 (Senior):
Appeared in 9 games for Pacific with 7 starts and recorded 2 assists in 639 minutes of action throughout the season. Played all 90 minutes in a 2-1 win over Portland (3/7) and against USF (3/21) in addition to playing all 100 minutes vs Santa Clara (3/14). 

2019 (Junior):
Appeared in 17 games for Pacific with 8 starts and logging three shots in 887 minutes of action. Played the whole 90 minutes in a 2-1 overtime win over San Jose State (9/2) and against UC Santa Barbara (9/25).

2018 (Sophomore):
Appeared in 9 games on the season, all of which were as a substitute. Took one shot on the year against No. 9 Saint Mary's.

2017 (Freshman):
Appeared in all 19 games with two starts, a 3-1 win over Gonzaga in the regular season finale (11/11) and a 2-1 win in Pacific's NCAA Tournament first round matchup with Cal State Fullerton (11/16). Scored his first career goal in a 5-2 win over CSU Bakersfield (8/27) on a season-high three shots and earned his first career assist in a 1-0 win over Virginia Tech (9/1).

High School:
Diego was a four-year varsity starter for Ben Holt College Prep in Stockton. In his first three seasons with the Bobcats, the Stockton native scored 22 goals with 15 assists in just 27 games, giving him a stellar 2.2 points-per-game average. Villapudua played club soccer with the Sacramento Republic FC Academy and scored two goals in 15 games during the 2016 season. 

Personal:

Son to Andy and Olga Villapudua…has two sisters (Siena; 21 and Belize; 16)…a Business Administration major with concentrations in Marketing and Analytics…hobbies include snowboarding, traveling, and eating food.
