Biography
2014 (Senior):
Villanueva appeared in 23 matches for the Tigers with a pair of goals. Scored in the Tigers'' win over Cal State Monterey Bay (Jan. 18) and in Pacific''s GCC Championship quarterfinal win over Fresno Pacific (April 23).
2014 (Junior):
Villanueva made 15 appearances off the bench for Pacific, while registering three assists on the year.
2013 (Sophomore):
Villanueva provided a spark off the bench in her second year at Pacific, seeing time in 12 games for the Tigers. She finished the year with three goals, two of which came versus Bucknell (Mar. 10). She added one assist, one steal and one drawn ejection.
2012 (Freshman):
Providing depth at the two-meter position, Villanueva saw time in 16 games in her first year at Pacific. She notched her lone goal of the season in the Tigers’ dominating win over Azusa Pacific on Feb. 4. Villanueva added an assist and a steal while drawing seven ejections.
High School:
Villanueva graduated from Dr. Olga Mohan High School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Club:
Villanueva was a member of the Rose Bowl Water Polo Club from 2007 to 2011. She participated in the Speedo Top 40 match in 2011.
Personal:
Villanueva was born in Glendale, Calif., and is the daughter of Gabriel and Elizabeth Villaneuva. She has a brother, Gabriel. Villanueva lists her hobbies as reading, biking, and being with family and friends. She is pursuing a degree in speech pathology and hopes to one day receive her doctorate and open a clinic for children.
