2015 (Junior):
Living up to the high expectations set in preseason, Lexi was named to the All-West Coast Conference First Team for her play as a junior. In a season in which the offense was turned over to the junior as the lead arm, the Nebraska native did not disappoint as Elman took a leap to the next level as one of the best attackers in the country. In 30 matches, Elman produced 493 kills (4.36 kills per set), the 10th most in a single season in Pacific''s storied history. In addition to her rank among the all-time greats, Elman''s production ranked 17th among all Division I players following the end of the regular season. Scoring points from all over the court, Elman also tallied a team best 43 service aces while posting 562 points (4.97 points per set) on the year. Not forgetting about her defense and passing, Elman finished the year with 300 digs (2.65 digs per set), second-most on the team only behind Pacific''s starting libero, Katrin Gotterba. She finished the year with a team-best 15 double-doubles, a total that ranked third overall in the WCC and second among attackers. In all, Elman took home one WCC Player of the Week award as the junior earned the weekly honor on Sept. 26 after leading the Tigers'' to the Creighton Bluejay Invitational title in her hometown of Omaha. In all three tournament''s the Tigers played to start the year Elman was named to the all-tournament team while being awarded the Bluejay Invitational MVP for her efforts.
2014 (Sophomore):
Continuing to come into her own as Pacific''s top outside in her second season after moving back to an offensive role, Elman picked up a selection as an Honorable Mention All-WCC performer in 2014. Elman led the Tigers'' offense with 377 kills, ranking ninth in the WCC in kills per set at 3.46. Despite being Pacific''s top attacker, the sophomore outside did not let her defense slip as she finished the year with 287 digs (2.63 dps) while also recording 53 blocks. She was Pacific''s top point scorer as she ended the year with 434.0 points scored as she also led the team from the service line with 28 aces. In WCC play, Elman ended the year with 222 kills (3.26 kps) while recording 172 digs, 15 aces, and 40 blocks. Elman finished second on the team with 10 double-doubles on the year. She earned her first Player of the Week award on Sept. 29 after guiding the Tigers to a win over then undefeated and 21st ranked LMU to begin conference play. In the match against LMU, Elman posted a career-high 22 kills, one of two 20+ kill matches for the young outside hitter on the year.
2013 (Freshman):
In her first year of collegiate volleyball, Elman proved to be one of the best defensive players in the country and the WCC, earning all-freshman honors. She ended the conference season averaging 4.19 digs per set, fourth best in the WCC despite starting the year as an outside hitter. In 15 matches as the Tigers'' starting libero, Elman averaged 4.52 digs per set as she grabbed 271 digs overall as a libero. Overall, she proved to be the best defensive freshman in program history as Elman tallied a program freshmen record 429 digs in 30 matches while her 3.86 digs per set ranked No. 9 in program history for a single season. She recorded the best single-match performance for a freshman in program history with 30 digs in just four sets against BYU on Oct. 24. Prior to moving into a defensive role, Elman tallied 107 kills on the outside for the Tigers. Additionally, she was named to the Bankers Classic all-tournament team during the season as she ended her weekend with 24 total kills and 37 digs as she averaged 4.11 digs per set. In the championship match, Elman posted 11 kills and 13 digs to post her third of four double-doubles of the year.
High School:
A three-year varsity player for Marian High School, Elman graduated in 2013 after leading the Crusaders to 38-5 overall record as a senior. Additionally, the Crusaders posted a runner-up finish at the Nebraska State Championships in 2012 as Elman earned state all-tournament honors along the way. For the year, Elman led all of Class A volleyball with 498 kills while also posting 372 digs, and 51 service aces. She was named a High School All-American by PreVolleyball.com at the end of her senior season.
Personal:
Allexa Elman is the daughter of Jennifer and Mark Elman. She is the youngest of four children with three older siblings, Kelsey, Taylor, and Kate. Kelsey played at Nebraska Weslyan as the first of the three Elman sisters to play collegiate volleyball while Kate graduated finished a four-year career at Creighton in 2015. She is majoring in business at Pacific.
