2018 (Redshirt Senior):
Ma appeared in 2 games and one start for the Tigers.
2017 (Senior):
Did not see any action.
2016 (Junior):
The ‘keeper made five starts and saw action in six in goal. Recorded 31 saves on the year in over 443 minutes of action. Pitched a perfect second half of relief against San Francisco (Oct. 9). Made three-consecutive starts between the posts against Loyola Marymount (Oct. 16), Portland (Oct. 21) and Gonzaga (Oct. 23).
2015 (Sophomore):
Started one game in goal for the Tigers, logging just over 91 minutes. Made a career-high seven saves in the 2-1 overtime loss to Drake (Aug. 23).
2014 (Freshman):
Melissa saw action in 11 games for the Tigers while earning eight starts throughout her inaugural season. Throughout the year, Melissa logged 711 minutes, made 35 saves, and had one shutout.
High School:Melissa is a 5-8 goalkeeper from Alameda, Calif. She was the captain for her team at Encinal High School. One of the top goalkeepers in the Bay Area, she twice earned All-Bay Shore Athletic League honors. She played club soccer for MVLA Mercury Black and helped her team to a Far West Regional Championship in 2012 after allowing no goals in the competition. That victory secured a spot in the USYS National Championships, where they placed third. Melissa has participated in the U.S. Soccer Training Centers since 2011 and was part of the ODP Cal North State Team from 2009-11.

Melissa Ma was born in Oakland, California, and is the daugther of Robert Sayaphupha. She has one sister named Elaine. Ma is a biochemistry major at Pacific.
