Biography

2016-17 (Senior):
In his senior season, Alex appeared in all but one of Pacific''s matches.  In singles, he went 13-8 overall and 5-2 in the WCC with eight of his wins played at fourth singles.  Recevied All-WCC Singles Honorable Mention during his senior campaign.  Went 10-8 in doubles, including 6-2 in WCC play.  Paired up with Miguel Diaz and ended the season on a three match win streak defeating opponents from San Diego, #43 Portland, and Gonzaga.  The duo won All-WCC Doubles Honorable Mention honors

2015-16 (Junior):
Won six singles matches and 14 doubles matches for the Tigers in his junior campaign. Went 14-6 in doubles, including 6-1 in WCC play. Posted a 9-3 doubles mark (3-1 WCC) with Daniel Alameh, and 4-0 with Sem Verbeek (3-0 WCC). Giannini and Verbeek were named WC Doubles Players of the Week on April 12 after wins over Saint Mary’s and #36 Oregon. Five of his doubles match wins came in matches against ranked teams.

2014-15 (Sophomore):
Alex Giannini posted a 2-4 singles record and a 4-7 doubles reocrd. In doubles play Giannini defeated opponents from No. 68 Portland, No. 44 New Mexico, and No. 35 San Diego State. 

2013-14 (Pepperdine University):
Posted a 6-13 doubles record as a freshman, including a 5-11 tally in dual action ... Went 0-4 in singles play ... Played alongside five different teammates in doubles, seeing most time with Pedro Leme with a 4-4 record ... Went 1-1 while playing at No. 2 with Leme, and 3-3 from the No. 3 spot ... Held on for an 8-7 win alongside Leme vs. Daniel Simko and David Doehring of LMU (2/18) ... Reached the second round of the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship while playing with Tom Hill ... Made way into singles lineup vs. #14 Tennessee (2/16) and #1 Oklahoma (3/19) ... Made collegiate debut on Jan. 17 at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic. 

High School:
Graduated from Gorman Learning Center ... Part of recruiting class ranked #2 in TennisRecruiting.net''s list of Top Mid-Major Men''s Classes ... Four-star recruit according to tennisrecruiting.com ... Ranked as high as #57 by the recruiting website during his junior season ... Played one season of varsity tennis during his freshman season at Palisades High School and helped take home the league championship ... Finalist at the Midland National Open in 2012.
