Pacific concludes its road trip against two of the top teams in the West Coast Conference in the early stages of the season following matches at Denver and San Diego last weekend.
Nicole Zake paced the Tigers offensively in the first two league contests, compiling 16 kills.
Adeline Sirbu also recorded double-digit kills, with 10 on a team-best .588 hitting percentage.
Alessia Couchond was impressive in passing, increasing her double-digit assist total in a match to 14 straight while finishing the week with 33.
Zake continues to be the lone player on the team with 100 kills this season, leading the Tigers with 143. She ranks 13th in the WCC in kills and is one of 22 players in the conference with 100+ kills through 14 matches.
Pepperdine began the conference slate with back-to-back victories, defeating Santa Clara and San Francisco on the road last week. Surviving the Broncos last Thursday, the Waves fended off a comeback and earned a hard-fought five-set victory before following with a reverse sweep of the Dons.
LMU, one of three WCC teams to begin the league schedule at 2-0, enters the weekend after defeating San Francisco and Santa Clara. The Lions battled the Dons in a five-set thriller in the conference opener, winning 15-8 in the final frame to stifle the Dons' comeback. Despite Santa Clara earning a set win, LMU handled the Broncos in a 3-1 victory.
Pepperdine holds a 27-17 edge over Pacific in the all-time series, including winning seven of the last eight contests. The last win for the Tigers came in a five-set decision at home on November 16, 2023. Since the first-ever meeting in 2007, Pacific has defeated LMU in 15 of the 27 meetings. The two teams split the regular-season series, as the Tigers have won three of the last five.
