STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific men's soccer program wraps up its non-conference slate with a clash with California on Friday evening at 7 p.m. from Knoles Field.

The Tigers (1-6-2) look to avenge a pair of road setbacks from last week in fueling its preparation against the Golden Bears (2-3-3) for this weekend's battle.

Freshman Xavier Cisneros continues to be a force on the Pacific attack, pacing the Tigers in goals (3) and points (7), and one off the team lead in shot attempts (12). Cisneros has averaged a point per game in his last four matches with both of those performances coming in the multi-point variety at San Jose State and Sacramento State.

Freshman Fateh Singh and sophomore Josephat Yangyuoru have also brought some fire to the offense, each scoring a pair of goals during non-conference play. Freshman Harrison Chapura scored his first collegiate goal on the last trip on a header against the Hornets, demonstrating his presence up front.

Graduate student Mateus Ruiz-Hurst has been the backbone on defense of late. The San Jose, California native has started six straight matches in goal, owning a 2.50 GAA with 34 saves across 540 minutes.

The Bears recently dropped an Atlantic Coast Conference match-up with Pittsburgh last Sunday and have wins over Santa Clara and Cal State Fullerton this season. Leading the charge for Cal is a pair of forwards in Callen Lewis and Junhwan Park, who each have two goals in eight matches. The Bears have nine different goal scorers and 13 different point producers in 2026 thus far. Adam Salama owns the lion's share of work defending for the Bears, sporting a 1.29 GAA with 15 saves off 75 shot attempts from opponents.

Pacific and Cal meet for the first time since 2023 and for just the third time since 2018. The Tigers own a 2-1 record, although having dropped the most recent match-up on Oct. 14, 2023, in a 2-0 decision.
