Match Recap: Women's Tennis |

Women’s Tennis Downs Middle Tennessee State

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Graduate Cindy Ung and junior Indiya McLeod continued their recent hot streak and scored two points each as Pacific scored a road win over MTSU on Monday afternoon.

The pair remained unbeaten in their last three matches, first helping propel the Tigers (4-9) to the doubles points with wins on courts two and one respectively. The former again teamed up with junior Leyanne Hirota to notch the victory while the latter paired with fellow junior Milena Maiorova to take the win.

Once in singles, McLeod had little trouble handling her opponent, dropping a combined two games in the straight set win – her ninth of the season. Ung faced more resistance, but after clinching the tiebreaker win in set one, cruised in set two to clinch the point. Finally on court one, Maiorova emerged victorious in two tightly contested sets to end the match and give Pacific the win.

The Tigers remain in Tennessee for one more match, taking on winless Chicago State on Tuesday at 8 a.m. on the campus of Middle Tennessee (4-8) before coming back to Stockton to open conference play.
