RENO, Nev. – The Pacific baseball program dropped the second game of the series to Nevada by a 10-5 margin on Saturday afternoon from Don Weir Field at Peccole Park.
The Tigers (6-8) found a diamond in the rough in the form of redshirt sophomore
Robert Orr, who crushed his team-leading fourth home run of the season amidst a 4-for-4 performance at the plate.
Yet to be retired by the Wolf Pack (7-5) in the series, Orr added four more hits, two runs and three RBIs to his 2026 campaign, raising his batting average to a .451 mark. Orr leads the Tigers with hits, runs and RBIs through 14 games now.
Senior
Blaine French made his return to the lineup, going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Junior
Derek Bartram drove in a run for Pacific during a two-run rally that saw the Tigers hold an early lead.
Freshman
Maddox Moreno (0-2) made his first career start on the mound, going 3.0 innings with a strikeout.
Pacific scored the game's opening runs with a pair in the top of the second and another run in the third inning. Nevada matched those frames, making it a 3-3 score after three innings.
The Wolf Pack took the lead in the fourth inning with a two-run spot, followed by another two in the next frame, to go ahead 7-3.
Orr's two-run home run in the sixth inning would make it a two-run ball game in favor of Nevada, but that would ultimately be the last of Pacific's run production on the afternoon, closing the book on a 10-5 score.
Pacific and Nevada will duel in the series finale tomorrow with a first pitch slated for 12:05 p.m. from Peccole Park.
