Pacific Salvages Series Finale with 7-4 Win

STOCKTON, Calif. – Behind a four-run seventh inning rally, the Tigers claimed the series finale over Gonzaga by a 7-4 decision on Sunday afternoon from Klein Family Field.

The Tigers (10-17, 2-4 WCC) snapped their five-game losing skid with a well-rounded performance from the pitching staff and timely hitting against the Bulldogs (12-13, 4-2 WCC).

Senior Grant MacArthur carried the Tigers' offense with a 3-for-3 day at the dish, including launching his second home run of the season while driving in three runs. Redshirt sophomore Robert Orr crushed a solo home run for his team-leading fifth round-tripper of the 2026 campaign, which was his second all-time home run at Kelin Family Field.

Graduate student Brendan O'Sullivan and senior Blaine French collected multi-hit performances from the heart of the Pacific order.

Redshirt junior Garret Plata pitched one-run ball in 5.0 innings while striking out a pair of Bulldogs in his second start of conference play. Junior Regan Carter (1-2) was stellar in his relief appearance, notching five strikeouts in 3.1 scoreless innings. Redshirt junior Carson Revay picked up his fourth save of the year, getting the final strikeout of the game with the game-tying run at the plate.

Pacific struck first in the bottom of the first with a two-out rally to go up 1-0. Gonzaga responded in the third to level the game at 1-1. MacArthur's home run to right center gave the Tigers the 2-1 lead, followed by Orr's moonshot next frame to extend the edge to 3-1.

The Bulldogs utilized a three-run spot in the sixth inning to make it 4-3, in favor of the visitors, but the Tigers capitalized with a big four-run seventh inning to hold a 7-4 cushion through seven. Senior Jake Tandy's pinch-hit single in that inning scored the game-tying and go-ahead run during the four-run rally.

Gonzaga threatened late, but Revay did not quiver, retiring the one and only Bulldog he faced to secure the series finale for Pacific.

Up next, the Tigers will take on the Stockton Ports in an exhibition game from Banner Island Park. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. PDT.
