The Tigers trailed 4-2 at the end of the first went they answered with five consecutive goals to lead ahead 7-4. However, the Lancers scored near the end of the first half and continued it into a 4-0 run to go up 8-7. CBU remained ahead 11-9 midway through the fourth.

Pacific cut the deficit to one-goal twice in the fourth. A score by Maria Ikonomou had the team down 11-10 with 2:46 left, and a goal by Pethers trimmed it to 12-11 with 1:10 remaining. Though, CBU drew an exclusion and scored in the final minute to stay in front.

The Tigers are now 18-12 all-time against the Lancers and 10-2 at home. Pacific has won 12 of the last 13 games dating back to 2014.
