STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program dropped the series finale by a 15-10 margin on Sunday afternoon at Klein Family Field.
The Tigers (9-14, 1-2 WCC) and the Redhawks (5-14, 2-1 WCC) went back-and-forth for most of the game, but a pair of key innings by the visitors ultimately doomed the Tigers in the third and final game of the West Coast Conference-opening series.
Redshirt sophomore
JT Shank registered a multi-hit game with four knocks, including a triple and his first home run of the season. Shank's hit total was the most by a Tiger on the afternoon and became a season-best in his career. Shank was a double shy of the cycle.
Junior
Braeden Schnabel also crushed a home run, his first of the 2026 campaign, which gave Pacific some life when the score was 12-8 after seven inning. Senior
Grant MacArthur also had a productive day at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a pair of runs and an RBI.
Pacific scored the game's first run, but the third and fifth innings proved to be costly for Pacific, giving up 12 runs in those combined frames, to blow the ball game open.
The Tigers rallied late like they did in the first two games of the series but came up on the wrong side of a 15-10 final score line.
Pacific continues their homestand, welcoming UC Davis to town on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. first pitch from Klein Family Field.
