Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific rebounded from a 4-0 Friday loss to Dartmouth to defeat Portland 4-2 on Saturday afternoon, getting off to a 1-0 start in the WCC at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.

GAME 2
The Tigers (7-9) win happened in rapid succession as graduate Terence Das, junior Christof Schaertlin Coffey and freshman Hasith Gummuluru all pulled out their matches within minutes of each other.

Das' win was the only one of the three to happen in straight sets but needed to grind out a 9-7 tiebreaker in set two for that win. The graduate is remerging as one of Pacific's more consistent performers, bringing his record to 5-6 this season and has won two straight decisions.

The latter two meanwhile each needed three sets to earn their points but did so in opposite ways. Schaertlin Coffey overcame a first set loss to edge out his opponent on court two for the fourth win of his 2026 campaign. Gummuluru meanwhile took set one and then needed the third set to close out the match.

For the freshman, the win was his first over a division one opponent and his point was the one that clinched the match in Pacific's favor.

Prior to their individual efforts, the Tigers top two doubles courts emerged victorious to give the team an early lead. Schaertlin Coffey, alongside freshman partner Reuben De Klerk, got the win on court two while sophomores Jonty Giesen and Nico Rating won for the second time together to take the win.

The Tigers struggled to get any momentum, losing the doubles point in straight courts and then singles in straight sets.
