STOCKTON, Calif. – A pair of weekend home bouts for Pacific men's tennis represent the front half of the final four home matches of the 2026 season – beginning with Dartmouth on Friday at 1 p.m. followed by Portland on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
Friday's match with Dartmouth (11-4) is the final non-conference match of the season for the team. Though the match is the first meeting in Stockton, Pacific (6-9) does have a result against the Big Green – winning a neutral site match over Dartmouth in 2006.
Junior
Christof Schaertlin Coffey and freshman
Reuben De Klerk enter the weekend riding a two-match winning streak and are the team's winningest pair overall with a 6-3 record, and 5-2 when playing on court two. Individually, both student-athletes lead the team with seven doubles wins each, winning once apart from the other.
Looking at the schedule, Dartmouth and Pacific share an identical result against Cal Poly and then will face both Santa Clara and LMU later in the year.
The Portland (5-8) match on Saturday is the WCC opener – marking the second consecutive season Pacific opens at home. Going back to 2022, the Tigers have won their last three conference home openers and shut out two of those opponents.
In the series history, Pacific has taken the last three meetings in decisive fashion – never conceding more than one point. Dating back to 2008, the Tigers are 5-1 playing in Stockton.
Sophomore
Jonty Giesen has settled into the number one singles role for the team, playing his last ten matches on that court and producing a 5-5 record. Add in three wins split between courts two and three and the sophomore is leading the club with eight singles win this season. Right behind him a trio of Tigers have four wins – graduate
Terence Das, De Klerk and sophomore
Niv Zuckerman.
Both matches this weekend will be streamed on Track Tennis.
