IRVINE, Calif. – The women's tennis program finished out a two-game swing in southern California with a 6-1 defeat to UC Irvine Saturday morning.
Junior
Milena Maiorova was Pacific's (0-8) lone point scorer in the match, comfortably defeating her opponent in straight sets to cap a weekend in which she went 2-0 on singles court one.
Fellow juniors
Indiya McLeod and
Nahreen Cheam both pushed their opponents to third sets on courts two and five but were unable to secure points.
Defeats on doubles courts one and three put the Anteaters (4-4) out in front early and proved too much for Pacific to overcome.
Following the short detour away from Stockton, the team returns to the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center for the next four matches – beginning with a double header against Dominican and Jessup on Wednesday and continuing with CSUN on Sunday.
All three matches will be streamed on Track Tennis.
