MTEN Preview vs. UNLV 2026

Newly Ranked Men’s Tennis at Home on Friday

STOCKTON, Calif. – In a battle of ranked programs, the 75th ranked Pacific men's tennis team takes on No. 74 UNLV at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center on Friday at 1 p.m.

When these teams met on a neutral court last season, the Tigers (4-3) knocked off UNLV (5-3) for the first program win over the Rebels. Sophomore Vraj Patel and graduate Terence Das were part of Pacific's come from behind win in that match, recording wins on singles courts four and six respectively.

In the two matches Das has competed in this month he has been a driving force in the Tigers attack, leading against power four California when the match ended and then scored the match clinching point against Sac State.

This season, the team will be looking to sophomore Jonty Giesen in singles to score a point as he leads Pacific with four wins this season, most recently on Sunday when his court one triumph helped push the team past Sacramento State. The New Zealand native has been pivotal in doubles as well picking up four wins with partners sophomore Niv Zuckerman and freshman Zhora Chetverukhin.

Friday's match will be streamed on Track Tennis.

However, a scheduling note to fans, Sunday's match against Nevada has been postponed due to weather. A makeup date has not been announced yet.
