The Tigers (2-7-3, 1-0-1 WCC) march into their WCC road opener with confidence after a win over Santa Clara and a draw with Seattle last week at home to begin league play, looking to carry over the momentum into Saturday's fray with the Gaels (2-6-4, 0-2-1 WCC).

Leading the charge for Pacific has been freshman and captain Xavier Cisneros. The native of Turlock, California leads the Tigers in goals (6), assists (2), points (14) and shot attempts (19). Cisneros ranks tied for sixth nationally among NCAA Div. I freshmen with six goals through 12 matches in 2026. His six goals also place him tied for 36th among all Div. I men's soccer players.

Furthermore, Cisneros is three goals shy of the single-season goals record in the modern era, set by Camden Riley in 2018 (9 goals in 19 matches). Cisneros notched a brace in the 3-3 draw against Seattle and scored another in the 2-1 victory over the Broncos.

Massimo Erfani scored the game-winner for the Tigers last time out. Erfani has scored two goals this season – both of which have come in victories on the year. Pacific won at Utah Tech by a 3-2 margin.

Looking at the defense, Alejandro Caracheo Luna has started the last three matches for the Tigers and turned in his best effort of the year in the win over Santa Clara at Knoles Field. Caracheo Luna owns a 2.33 GAA with 25 saves. He has earned both of Pacific's wins in 2026.

Saint Mary's dropped a pair of contests last week at Portland and at Seattle. The Gaels hold a 1-1-3 record at home with that one win coming over Sacramento State during the non-conference slate.

Cameron Kobey and Luke Schaefer represent a dynamic duo with five and four goals, respectively, to pave the way for the Saint Mary's offense. While Sam Bentley has started the lion's share of games defending the crease, it has been Tommy Davis who has started the first three games of WCC play, owning a 3.33 GAA and 12 saves across those starts.

In the head-to-head series match-up, the Tigers have won the last two matches, winning 1-0 last year in Moraga, and 3-1 in Stockton during the 2024 season.

Saturday's contest can be viewed live on ESPN+ with kick-off slated for a 1 p.m. start.
