The Tigers (3-9-4, 2-2-2 WCC) will be tested in this home finale against the Pilots (9-3-2, 6-0-0 WCC), who enter as the first nationally ranked opponent that the Tigers will face since last Senior Day against then-No. 13 Oregon State.
The Tigers look to strengthen their postseason positioning against the West Coast Conference regular-season champions. Pacific currently holds down the fourth place in the WCC standings with eight points, remaining in contention for one of four spots in the inaugural conference tournament under first-year head coach Andres Ochoa.
The Tigers enter Saturday following a 2-2 draw at Denver, where
Josephat Yangyuoru and
Jackson Montero each scored first-half goals. Yangyuoru recorded his fifth goal of the season, while Montero notched his first collegiate goal in the effort on the road.
Xavier Cisneros continues to lead Pacific's offensive attack with six goals, three assists and a team-high 15 points. The native of Turlock, California has recorded two multi-goal performances this season, including a pair of goals in the conference opener against Seattle.
Massimo Erfani has also emerged as a key contributor, totaling three goals and two assists. Erfani leads Pacific with two game-winning goals and most recently delivered an assist on Yangyuoru's opening goal against Denver. Pacific is 3-0-1 when Erfani is credited with a point.
Defensively,
Alejandro Caracheo Luna has provided stability between the posts. The Stockton, California native has collected 53 saves in ten starts, including nine against Denver last time out. Caracheo Luna owns a 2.20 GAA across his performances during the 2026 campaign.
Prior to Saturday's contest, the Tigers will honor seniors Erfani,
Montgomery Carey,
Connor Louden, as well as graduate students
Mateus Ruiz-Hurst,
Daniel Govea and
Luca Baltzer. The occasion marks a significant moment for the group as Pacific closes its home schedule.
Portland arrives in Stockton riding an eight-match winning streak after clinching its seventh WCC regular-season championship.
The Pilots recently climbed nine spots to No. 12 in the United Soccer Coaches national poll following wins over Seattle and Santa Clara.
David Ajagbe leads Portland with 11 goals and 25 points, while Joe Highfield has contributed eight goals and nine assists for 25 points.
In the head-to-head match-up, the two programs last met Oct. 18, 2025, when Portland earned a 4-1 victory at Merlo Field. Their most recent meeting in Stockton ended in a 2-2 draw on Oct. 9, 2024. Pacific's last victory over Portland came March 7, 2021, when the Tigers secured a 2-1 home triumph.
