The Tigers (1-12-2, 0-4-2 WCC) enter the week following a narrow 1-0 setback against Pepperdine on Oct. 24. Pacific showed resilience against the defending conference champions, holding the Waves to four shots in the second half.
Kaya Rosa remains the focal point of Pacific's attack, leading the Tigers with eight goals and 16 points. The Newark, California, native has scored in seven of her last nine appearances, placing her among the conference's top goal scorers. Her eight goals also tie Jaida Nyby's 2023 mark for the most goals scored by a Pacific player in a season since the program rejoined the WCC in 2013.
Goalkeeper Ava Wells has anchored the defensive efforts for the Tigers, leading the WCC with 71 saves. Wells recorded a career-high 13 saves against San Francisco on Oct. 17 before adding seven more against Pepperdine. Her performances have helped Pacific remain competitive in matches while managing pressure from opposing attacks.
Wednesday's matchup brings the Gaels (9-2-5, 3-2-1 WCC) to Stockton. Saint Mary's enters the week just one point behind fourth place, the final position needed to qualify for the inaugural WCC Women's Soccer Tournament. The Gaels have been one of the conference's strongest defensive teams, allowing an average of 0.44 goals per game.
Goalkeeper Kate Plachy has been one of the top netminders in the WCC, posting a .863 save percentage, allowing just 0.59 goals per game and recording 44 saves.
Pacific will look to earn its first win against Saint Mary's since 2016, when the Tigers secured a 1-0 shutout at home. The Gaels have won the last three matchups, including a 1-0 decision last season in Moraga.
The Tigers will then trek to the Mile High City for their first-ever matchup against the Pioneers (3-8-3, 2-3-1 WCC). Denver is coming off a crucial 1-0 win over San Francisco as the team continues to compete for a spot in the WCC tournament.
The Pioneers feature a balanced attack, with 10 different players finding the back of the net this season. Kera Nguyen leads the way with three goals and six points.
Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+, with Wednesday's matchup set to kick off at 6 p.m. at Knoles Field and Saturday's contest scheduled for 2 p.m. at University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
