REDLANDS, Calif. – Capping an unbeaten weekend at the Inland Empire Classic, the No. 10 Pacific men's water polo program defeated Redlands 20-10 and Occidental 21-7 on Saturday at the Thompson Aquatic Center.

It came after Pacific (6-1) ousted Cal Lutheran and Biola on Friday. The Tigers have allowed 10 goals or less in six of seven games this season.

On the weekend, freshman
Apostolos Georgaras led the squad with 16 goals and was the only Tiger to score in all four games. He's up to a team-high 29 goals on the year.

Between the two games Saturday, junior
Noah Wendt registered five goals including a career-high four against Occidental (2-8). Georgaras and freshman
Borisz Kasa-Gal, the West Coast Conference Newcomer of the Week winner, netted four goals apiece.

Against Redlands (1-6), the Tigers got off to a fast 3-0 start with goals by Kasa-Gal, freshman
Tamas Otto Voros and Georgaras. After Redlands cut it to 6-4 early in the second, Pacific answered with 10 consecutive goals to put it out of reach 16-4 after a score by freshman
Brody Biedermann with 2:52 remaining in the third.

Sophomore
Yoav Rendler and Kasa-Gal each submitted a hat trick. Freshman goalkeeper
Kiss Gergely made 10 saves in net.

The Tigers again got off to a blazing start against Occidental and led 6-0 after the first quarter. Pacific upped it to 12-2 late in the second after a goal by senior
Charlie Donlin. The Tigers scored the first three goals of the second half to make it 15-3 after a tally by senior
Alek Newman.

Sophomore
Ori Buzaglo and Newman turned in hat tricks. Junior
Benjamin Gronbach got the nod in net and earned the win.

It was the first-ever meeting between Pacific and Redlands. The Tigers improved to 4-0 all-time against Occidental.

Up next, Pacific will play its home opener Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. against third-ranked Cal at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
