CHENEY, Wash. – Suiting up for the final non-conference tilt of the regular season, the Pacific women's soccer program treks north to face Eastern Washington at 1 p.m. on Sunday at EWU Soccer Field.
The Tigers (2-3-2) look to carry over their road performance from a 2-1 victory last week at Nevada into the weekend's match-up against the Eagles (4-2-3).
Fueled from that quick offensive start against the Wolf Pack, senior
Haley Johnson has been a force to be reckoned with, representing one of five Tigers with multiple points during non-conference play. Johnson recorded a penalty kick goal and a primary assist on redshirt junior
Mira Scarsella's game-opening tally at Nevada, marking the first multi-point performance by a Tiger this season.
Sophomore
Sierah McCallum can turn on the afterburners at any moment given time and space. The native of Henderson, Nevada currently leads the Tigers with a pair goals, four points and 11 shot attempts across seven games.
Fifth year
Aniela Jensen has been a steady presence all over the pitch throughout the non-conference portion of the season, compiling a forward-high 541 minutes with a goal and an assist. Only sophomore defenseman
Gianna Gagliano has suited up for more minutes, totaling 563 on the year.
While graduate student
Juliana Alexander has drawn the bulk of the starting assignments in goal thus far, freshman
Lis Van Herwijnen has most recently earned back-to-back nods in between the posts. Van Herwijnen has allowed just one goal in 180 minutes and was credited with her first career victory in the 2-1 decision against the Wolf Pack. The native of Veldhoven, Netherlands has totaled five saves following 11 shot attempts faced in her first two starts of 2025.
EWU returns home for its final non-conference match against Pacific before beginning Big Sky Conference play. This past weekend, the Eagles went 1-0-1 on their Hawaii road trip, earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Hawaii before rolling to a 3-0 victory over Hawaii Pacific.
Two Eagles' players to keep an eye on with a keen offensive touch are Delani Walker and Chloe Pattison. The pair have combined for nine goals, four assists and 40 shot attempts in non-conference action.
In goal, EWU has summoned Kamryn Willoughby to defend for the majority of the season. In her eight starts, she sports a 1.50 goals against average with 36 saves.
Pacific and Eastern Washington meet for just the third time in their respective program histories. The Tigers and Eagles first clashed during the 2002 season where Pacific was on the wrong end of 1-0 result.
Fast forward 21 years, the Tigers earned the first home victory of their 2023 campaign with a 3-2 victory at Knoles Field. In that 2023 contest, redshirt junior
Faylinn Berkowitz picked up an assist on the game's opening goal in the 24th minute. Senior
Trianne Cooper and senior
Allie Jones also logged 60+ minutes each on the back line in their efforts defensively.
The match can be viewed on ESPN+ with a 1 p.m. scheduled kick-off time.
