RENO, Nev. – The Pacific women's soccer program hits the road to the Silver State, seeking its third consecutive victory in the series over Nevada on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Mackay Stadium.
The Tigers (1-3-2) are coming off a Senior Day draw against UC San Diego and look to begin a stretch of three straight road contests on a high note against the Wolf Pack (1-4-1).
Sophomore
Sierah McCallum paces the Pacific offense with a pair of goals and four points through six games. The native of Henderson, Nevada has also connected on a team-high 11 shot attempts – five of which were on target.
Fifth year
Aniela Jensen has been a catalyst in the midfield, producing three points to her name thus far. Jensen scored the game-winner on a penalty kick en route to the Tigers' first victory of the season at home over Utah State by a 1-0 margin.
On the defensive end, graduate student
Juliana Alexander has started the bulk of contests in goal for the Tigers through their non-conference slate. Alexander has made 28 saves and sports a 2.20 goals against average in her five starts. Alexander's save total ranks second among West Coast Conference goalkeepers.
Freshman
Lis Van Herwijnen drew the starting assignment last time out for her first career start, stopping three Triton shots in the shutout performance.
The Wolf Pack enter the competition having dropped three straight road contests and being outscored 10-1 during that stretch. Thursday's contest marks only Nevada's second home match of the season, earning a 2-2 draw against Cal Poly on Aug. 28.
Three Wolf Pack players were named to the 2025 Mountain West women's soccer watch list in Olivia Loomis, Maddie Benson and Naima Castro. Castro, one of two freshman on the team, leads Nevada with a pair of goals, which were scored against Northern Arizona and Cal Poly for a two-game goal streak.
Mia Collins has made every start in goal for the Wolf Pack, owning a 2.50 goals against average and 38 saves (6.33 saves/game), which ranks atop the Mountain West leaderboards.
Pacific and Nevada meet for the 12th time in the series history that dates back to 2000. The Tigers own a 7-4 record over the Wolf Pack and claimed the most recent match-up between the two programs, securing a 2-1 road victory in the 2022 season. In a 1-0 clean sheet performance at Knoles Field during the 2021 campaign, Alexander faced seven shots and collected three saves against Nevada.
The match can be viewed on the Mountain West Network with a scheduled 7 p.m. kick off.
