Women’s Soccer Hosts UC San Diego on Senior Day

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program celebrates Senior Day, hosting UC San Diego on Monday at 11 a.m. at Knoles Field.

The Tigers (1-3-1) will honor their six seniors in a pregame ceremony before taking on the Tritons (1-1-2) in their third straight contest against a Big West school.

Entering their final non-conference home match of the season, sophomore Sierah McCallum has been a force for the Pacific offense, generating a team-leading two goals and four points on nine shot attempts. Four of McCallum's six career goals have come against Big West opponents, including most recently in the last time out at Cal State Bakersfield. McCallum's pair of goals is tied for second among scorers in the West Coast Conference.

Fifth year Aniela Jensen represents a steady presence in the midfield, leading the forward group with 382 minutes played to accompany a goal and three points on the year. Jensen scored the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 1-0 victory over Utah State in the last home contest at Knoles Field, marking the first victory of the Jeff Freeman era.

Freshman Janelli Villagran has been a bright spot from the newcomer group in the early going. Villagran leads the Tigers with ten shot attempts (three on target) and recorded a game-high five shot attempts in the 2-2 draw at Cal Poly last weekend.

Graduate student Juliana Alexander has started all five contests in goal for Pacific, sporting a 2.20 goals against average and .718 save percentage in that span. Her 28 saves rank a top the WCC goalkeeper leaderboard.

UC San Diego is in the midst of a season-long four-game road trip after opening it with a scoreless draw at San Diego State on Saturday. The Tritons have one win on the year, which came against UNLV by a 3-2 margin.

UC San Diego is led offensively by Ava Tibor, who has four goals on five shots on target. Tibor recorded a pair of braces in the season opener against California and in their lone win over UNLV.

Pacific and UC San Diego battle it out for the third all-time meeting against one another. The Tigers won last year's matchup in La Jolla by a 1-0 margin. McCallum scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute to put the Tigers on top.

Monday's match marks the second time the two programs will meet in Stockton. A 4-4 draw sprouted from the last clash at Knoles Field. In that contest, senior Haley Jensen factored into the box score as Johnson tallied Pacific's fourth goal on the night.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Dennis Ackerman on the call.
