STOCKTON, Calif. – Under the direction of Head Coach
Greg Gibbons, the Pacific volleyball program released its 2025 schedule and features four road stops in the non-conference alongside the West Coast Conference slate of games.
The Tigers open their season on August 29 against Cal Baptist in Northridge, the first of a three-day event that also sees Pacific face host CSUN, and Idaho State on August 30 and 31. Pacific has not met Cal Baptist before in program history while the meetings with CSUN and Idaho State are the first since 2021 and 1986 respectively – both matches the Tigers emerged victorious in.
Following the trip to Northridge, the team ventures out of the pacific time zone for the only time this season to participate in a round robin hosted by Georgia Southern from September 5-7. While there, Pacific will face Mercer, Georgia Southern and UNCW. Each of the Bears, Eagles and Seahawks are new opponents for the Tigers.
A quick two-game stop in Reno has Pacific squaring up with Nevada and Eastern Washington on September 12 and 13. The program last saw both squads during the 2023 season and in addition to defeating both then, the Tigers have enjoyed major success against the Wolfpack (26-8 all-time series record) and Eagles (2-0 all-time series record).
The final opponents outside the WCC during the regular season are Fresno State, Sacramento State and CSU Bakersfield from September 18-20 hosted by Sacramento State. Like the classic preceding this one, Pacific last saw all three schools in 2023 and owns dominant series records (34-3 vs. Fresno State, 30-7 vs. Sacramento State and 7-1 vs. CSU Bakersfield).
Once in the WCC portion of the schedule, the Tigers will play home-and-home matches with LMU, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Saint Mary's, San Diego, Portland, and Oregon State. Of the four remaining schools in which Pacific only sees once, Seattle and Pepperdine will make the trip to Stockton while the team will travel to Washington State and Gonzaga.
Conference play begins on September 25 and spans the remainder of the season. The full schedule, including times, can be found on the Pacific Athletics Website.
The Tiger home opener takes place on October 2 against LMU.
