BERKELEY, Calif. – Against the Cal Golden Bears, the Pacific softball program dropped a 12-0 road decision in five innings on Wednesday afternoon at Levine-Fricke Field.
Freshman
Jayleen Scott was the only Tiger (11-23, 1-2 WCC) that found consistent success against the Cal (27-11) pitching, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a double in the first inning.
Junior
Olivia Silvestre also tallied a base knock, keeping her average at a stellar .441 on the season.
Taking the loss for the Tigers was freshman
Kiley Shea who dropped to 2-4 after lasting 1.1 innings and giving up seven runs on five hits.
Fellow freshman
Alexa Lewis appeared in relief and spun 2.2 innings of work and gave up five runs, though only two were earned. She also struck out four batters, her most since the five batters she struck out in her collegiate debut on Feb. 7.
Pacific returns to West Coast Conference play over the weekend, taking on Santa Clara on April 12-13. First pitch from Santa Clara on Saturday is set for 12 p.m. and is a doubleheader – the entire series will be streamed on ESPN+.
