STOCKTON, Calif. – Continuing its home stand to conclude the regular season, the No. 25 Pacific women's water polo program will take-on No. 20 San Diego State in a conference match Friday at 5 p.m. at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
It's the second of four home games for Pacific (10-8, 3-1 GCC) to wrap-up the regular season. The Tigers are coming off a 13-5 victory over Fresno Pacific to begin the home stand.
It's a critical game in the GCC standings as the Aztecs enter play at 13-10 overall and 3-1 in conference. Both teams are chasing No. 9 LMU, which is 5-0 in the league and No. 8 Fresno State, which is 4-1.
Junior
Dora Alaksza leads the team and ranks second in the conference in goals with 73. She's scored a goal in every game this year and at least three in four of the last five matches.
Sophomore
Ella Cowan is the team's assist leader with 37 on the year, which ranks fourth in the GCC. She's also third on the team in points with 51 which includes 14 goals.
Pacific is going for its third consecutive conference win, last beating Santa Clara 14-7 on March 15. The Tigers have won four of the last five against SDSU.
