RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program dropped the rubber match to California Baptist in a 12-4 decision on Sunday afternoon at James W. Totman Stadium.
The Tigers (14-23) got some early offense in the form of a first-inning home run from redshirt sophomore
Andrew Sloan, but the Lancers (20-16) rattled off 11 runs in a three-inning stretch to ultimately guide the home team into taking the series finale.
Sloan launched his fourth home run of the 2025 campaign, which is tied for the team lead alongside redshirt senior
JT Waldon. It gave Pacific an early 1-0 lead after the first frame. Sloan would finish the day with a multi-hit performance. Freshman
Diego Davis also collected a multi-hit performance with an RBI to his name.
Junior
Jake Tandy extended his hitting streak to seven games with a double. Tandy later scored on an RBI single by senior
DJ Scott. Fifth year
John-Howard Bobo brought home the third run for the Tigers during the two-run top of the fourth.
Redshirt freshman
Mike Santos-LaPlaca recorded his first career hit with a single during the ninth inning.
Pacific utilized eight pitchers in the effort on the mound with redshirt sophomore
Carson Revay earning the start. Revay threw a pair of scoreless innings before turning over the ball to the bullpen. Freshman
Justin Iglesias also tossed a scoreless inning with a strikeout.
CBU found a spark offensively from Bubba Rocha, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two RBI and a pair of doubles.
The Tigers have completed their season-long seven-game road trip and will return for the next four contests at Klein Family Field, beginning with a midweek meeting on Tuesday against Cal State Bakersfield. First pitch is expected at 5:05 pm PDT.
