LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Playing its third game in three days, Pacific held a halftime lead over Washington State in the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference Tournament, but faltered in the second half, ultimately falling 73-62 Sunday afternoon at the Orleans Arena.
Senior
Anaya James put on a career performance in the contest, reaching 30 points for the first time since the seventh game of her collegiate career. She reached her 30 points on 12-for-21 shooting, marking her career-best in the category to go along with a block and three steals.
Fellow senior
Elizabeth Elliott finished with 12 points on 5-for-9 shooting and six rebounds. Graduate
Liz Smith scored ten points and dished out eight assists.
Combined, the three will finish their careers with over 1,400 points scored and spots on Pacific's top-10 all-time scoring list. Smith will finish the highest in fourth place and became the fourth Tiger in program history to score more than 1,500 points in her career and is the first to do it since Selena Ho (1998-2002).
In addition to scoring, Smith wraps her career up in Pacific's top-10 in three-pointers, steals, and games started. She will leave the Tiger program the all-time leader in free throws, games played, and minutes played.
James' career sees her post top-10 marks in field goals, assists, steals, games played, and games started. James is only the second Tiger in program history to reach 500 career assists.
Elliott is also top-10 in field goals, games played, and games started to go along with rebounding.
Pacific is poised to return its entire roster save for the two seniors and graduate for next season.
