SPOKANE, Wash. – Despite a pair of home runs that sparked a rally, the Pacific baseball program dropped a 13-4 decision Saturday night at Patterson Baseball Complex.
The Tigers (10-18, 0-5 WCC) fought valiantly in the middle innings with the Bulldogs (11-13, 4-1 WCC), but ultimately fell short in the second game of the series.
Senior
Jarryd Wood and
Drake Bicknell each crushed their first home runs of the season during a four-run rally in the top of the fifth inning that brought the Tigers within a run.
Senior
Adan Perez pitched 5.0 innings with five strikeouts in his seventh appearance of the 2025 campaign.
After Gonzaga hit a grand slam in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 5-0 lead, the Tigers responded with a four-run spot in the next frame to cut into the home team's edge, 5-4.
The Bulldogs continued to add on in the late stages and held on for the result.
Pacific closes out its three-game series with Gonzaga with a Sunday afternoon contest in Spokane. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m. PDT.
