No. 25 Women’s Water Polo Begins Final Home Stretch against Fresno Pacific

STOCKTON, Calif. – In the first of four consecutive home games to conclude the regular season, the No. 25 Pacific women's water polo program will host Fresno Pacific in a 1 p.m. match Saturday at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
 
It's the final non-conference game for the Tigers, who enter play at 9-8 overall and 3-1 in the Golden Coast Conference. They'll wrap-up the regular season with GCC home matches against San Diego State, Azusa Pacific and Fresno State.
 
The Tigers coming off back-to-back games against top-five opponents in No. 4 UCLA and No. 3 Hawaii. Their last unranked opponent was a 14-7 win over Santa Clara, and Pacific is 5-0 against unranked opponents this year.
 
Junior Dora Alaksza leads the team with 72 goals and 84 points. She ranks second in the GCC in goals and third in points. Alaksza has netted at least a hat trick in each of the last four games.
 
Alaksza is one of four Tigers ranked in the GCC statistics. Senior Natalie Johnston leads the league in sprint wins with 31, while sophomore Ella Cowan is sixth in assists with 31. Sophomore goalkeeper Maja Lizy Dulic ranks third in the conference in saves with 152.
 
The Tigers are a perfect 19-0 all-time against Fresno Pacific and won the last meeting 15-4 in 2023. The Sunbirds enter play at 10-7 overall and 0-2 in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA).
