STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program fell 13-3 to Sacramento State Tuesday at Klein Family Field.
The Tigers (10-12) gave up a dozen runs in the first four innings, allowing the Hornets (11-9) to cruise to the decision.
Junior
Jake Tandy extended his hitting streak to six games. The native of West Sacramento, California, who was named West Coast Conference Player of the Week, went 1-for-3.
Sophomore
Adrian Vidal brought home a run in the bottom of the eighth for the Tigers' second run of the night in a pinch-hit role.
Sophomore
Regan Carter (0-2) made the start on the mound for Pacific. Redshirt junior
Cade Sonoqui pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
Colin Hunter (1-1) pitched six innings of one-run ball in securing the victory for Sacramento State. The Hornets found some life from second baseman Cameron Sewell who hit a pair of three-run home runs in sparking the offense early.
Pacific opens up West Coast Conference play against Portland on Friday at Klein Family Field. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. PDT.
