IRVINE, Calif. – Pacific men's tennis is back on the court with two matches this week after rain washed out last week's action, beginning with a match at UC Irvine on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Anteater Tennis Stadium, and a Sunday matinee at UC Santa Barbara at 1:30 p.m. at the Arnhold Tennis Center.

Tiago Silva enters this weekend's action as the 99th ranked singles player in the ITA singles rankings. He'll look to lead Pacific (2-2) to its first win road win against UC Irvine (2-2) since 2009. The Anteaters have wins 4-3 wins over Pepperdine and San Diego State this season, and their only defeats were to UCLA and USC.
The Tigers will have another tough match-up Sunday against a 3-1 UC Santa Barbara squad that has wins over Oklahoma State, Nevada and Texas Tech. The Tigers will look to win at the Arnhold Tennis Center for the first time since 2015-16.
Pacific's home opener is now Friday, Feb. 28 when it hosts South Florida at 1 p.m. at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center. The team's match against UC San Diego from Feb. 1 that rained-out has yet to be rescheduled.
