STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific softball overcame seven late runs from UC Davis to defeat the Aggies 11-10 in walk off fashion for its first showing at the Libby Matson Tournament but was then unable to overcome San Jose State's pitching effort in game two in a 9-0 loss in six innings at Bill Simoni Field.
Game 1
Despite leading holding a 9-3 lead after the fifth inning, Pacific (7-7) conceded six runs in the sixth inning and one in the seventh to trail going into the final frame with UC Davis (5-12) only to punish two Aggie errors to walk the game off.
Senior
Emma Dazell wasted no time picking up where she left off, delivering a massive 3-for-5 performance with four RBIs and the decisive double that clinched the game in Pacific's favor.
After today's games, the senior is hitting .439 with 18 hits, 10 runs, 13 RBIs, and six doubles – all marks that are second on the team. And the player she's behind in each category to is junior
Olivia Silvestre, who drew three walks in the first game and twice came around to score off those walks, including the scoring the tying run off Dazell's bat.
Junior

Freshman
Peyton Clifford had her best day at the plate as a Tiger, collecting a career-best three hits in four attempts for the Tigers and scored a new career-high two runs.
Collecting the win for the Tigers was freshman

Justice Alcaraz and lasted 5.2 innings and gave up four earned runs (eight total) on ten hits and struck out two.
Game 2
The Tigers were only able to manage three base runners the entire contest, and two of those runners were
Olivia Silvestre doubles. Her two two-baggers represent the first time as a Pacific Tiger that the junior has tallied multiple extra-base hits in the same game.
Pacific's other runner was
Emma Dazell after a drawn walk. Senior
Desiree Smith took the loss for Pacific, dropping to 1-2 on the season. She lasted 2.2 innings and surrendered six runs, all earned, on six hits and a walk.
