STOCKTON, Calif. – The No. 65 Pacific men's tennis program has rocketed into the national rankings ahead of its opening home matches of the 2025 season, playing host to South Florida on Friday at 1 p.m. and Oregon on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
The newly minted 65th-ranked Tigers (4-4) take on South Florida (7-2) riding a wave of confidence following impressive showings last week. Juniors
Terence Das and
Tiago Silva are the reigning WCC Doubles Pair of the Week following two victories against GCU and UNLV. The pair has won their past four matches and are 4-1 on the season overall.
Das and Silva have also shone as singles competitors too. Silva brought home WCC Singles Player of the Week honors for his triumphs on court one for the Tigers over the weekend while Das pulled off two straight set wins on court six to aid in the winning efforts.
Following it up against Oregon (8-2) on Sunday, the team will look to its nationally ranked doubles pair to get the team off on the right foot. Graduate
Ran Amar and sophomore
Christof Schaertlin Coffey enter this week's slate of matches 71st in the nation and are 2-1 as a pair.
Amar has been particularly effective on doubles court one, registering a 2-2 record (would be 4-2 if two unfinished matches were played to completion as he held leads in both).
Should Pacific prevail this weekend, it would be program first wins over both USF and Oregon. This weekend's matches will be streamed on track tennis.
