STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program fell behind the eight ball early, dropping a 14-3 decision on Tuesday night at Klein Family Field.
The Tigers (6-3) completed their first home midweek matchup of the season with the Aggies (6-2) taking the second of that variety in as many weeks.
Redshirt senior
Josh Souza turned in a solid relief outing, throwing 2.2 innings with a career-high four strikeouts. Along with Souza, freshman
Justin Iglesias and redshirt junior
Cade Sonoqui made their season debuts on the mound, each recording at least one strikeout.
The Tigers found some offense late in the contest as junior
Andre Vidal brought home his brother, junior
Adrian Vidal during a two-run rally in the bottom of the seventh.
Mason Lerma earned the win for the Aggies, going 2.1 innings in relief with four strikeouts. Jaxon Murphy reached four times and scored twice from the lead-off spot.
Pacific is back in action this weekend as the team travels to Seattle for its first three-game road series of the season. The Tigers took two of three from Seattle during the 2020 campaign on the road.
