Women’s Water Polo Plays Home & Conference Opener Friday

STOCKTON, Calif. – Competing at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center for the first time in 2025, the Pacific women's water polo program will host Concordia University Irvine in the Golden Coast Conference opener Friday at 6 p.m.
 
Pacific (6-5) was picked to finish third in the GCC Preseason Poll, while CUI (1-7) was tabbed for eighth. The Tigers were 4-3 in conference last season.
 
Pacific has been led this season offensively by junior Dora Alaksza who has tallied 42 goals and has scored in every game. It included six-goal performances against No. 4 Cal and No. 23 Marist. Senior Hila Futorian has registered 24 goals and was the GCC Player of the Week on Feb. 6.
 
The Tigers are a perfect 13-0 all-time against the Golden Eagles and won last year 12-7 on the road. In that match, Alaksza led the team with five goals and an assist, while sophomore goalkeeper Maja Lizy Dulic made 11 saves.
 
Friday will be the first of seven GCC matches for the Tigers. Up next will be a road game at LMU on Friday, March 7 at 6 p.m.
