PHOENIX, Ariz. – Pacific men's tennis plays its last two matches away from Stockton for over a month when it travels to Arizona to face Grand Canyon on Friday at 12 p.m. and UNLV on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the GCU Tennis Facility.
The team has not competed since Feb. 9 after hosting a UTR pro tennis tournament from Feb. 10-16, an event that was won by junior
Tiago Silva.
Silva's success this season has been joined by graduate
Ran Amar and sophomore
Christof Schaertlin Coffey as partners in the doubles portion – a duo that has attained the number 71 rank in the country.
Pacific (2-4) holds a decisive 3-1 series advantage over the Lopes (6-2); however, this is the first time the two schools will have matched up on GCU's home court.
Saturday's match-up with UNLV puts Pacific in a different position, as the program is 0-3 all time against the Runnin' Rebels. This is the first meeting between the schools since 2020.
Neither match will be live streamed, but both will have live stats for fans to follow along.
