SAN FRANCISCO – The Pacific men's basketball program took a one-point lead into the halftime locker room, but San Francisco finished on top 71-58 Thursday at War Memorial at The Sobrato Center.

Pacific's (9-21, 4-12 WCC) defense shut down the Dons (21-7, 12-4 WCC) in the first half, limiting them to a .357 shooting mark and 1-of-17 (.059) from three. Though, USF responded with a 17-of-30 (.567) clip from the floor in the second half to turn the tables.

With five assists in the game, junior
Lamar Washington is up to 174 this year and is four away from tying the school's single-season record of 178 set by Leonard Armato in 1973-74. Washington also recorded 10 points, six rebounds and three steals in the game.

Leading the team was junior
Elijah Fisher with 23 points and five rebounds in 40 minutes. He was 9-of-16 from the field and drilled a pair of threes.

A career night came from sophomore
Kris Keinys as he tallied career-highs of 12 points and nine rebounds. He scored all 12 of Pacific's bench points.

USF was guided by Malik Thomas who finished with 12 points. Tyrone Riley IV ended with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

The Tigers scored the first four points of the game on buckets by Fisher and sophomore
Jazz Gardner. A lay-up by Fisher kept Pacific ahead 15-10 at the 8:53 mark.

A three from the corner by Keinys had the Tigers leading 20-18 with 6:03 left. A dunk by Keinys late in the half was key in keeping Pacific in front 29-28 at the intermission.

The Dons opened the second half on a 7-0 run to go up 35-29 with 17:51 to go. Pacific came back to tie it 37-37 on a lay-up by Gardner, and kept it even 39-39 on a field goal by senior
Elias Ralph with 13:13 remaining.

USF answered with a lay-in and stayed ahead for the final 13 minutes of the game. The Dons took a double-figure advantage, 59-49, at the 5:19 mark.

The game featured six ties and nine lead changes.

The Tigers completed a three-game road swing. They'll return home Saturday to host Portland at 4 p.m. at the Alex G. Spanos Center. Pacific is 29-17 all-time against the Pilots and 19-5 at home.

NOTES
- Washington entered the game ranked eighth in the nation in assists per game with 5.8 as he continues to come closer to the single-season school record. It was his fifth consecutive double-figure scoring game and 21st this year.

- Keinys surpassed his previous career-highs of 10 points and four rebounds. He was 5-of-9 from the field and notched his second double-figure scoring game this year.

- Fisher surpassed 20 points for the eighth time this season. It was his 43rd career double-digit scoring out and 27th this year. Fisher attempted six free throws after entering the day ranked 12th in the nation in free throw attempts. He logged 40 minutes for the fifth time this season.

- For the game, Pacific limited San Francisco to a 4-of-26 (.154) mark from three-point range. It was the lowest the Tigers have allowed against a Division I opponent this year.

- The Tigers have already surpassed their season win total by three games and conference win total by four games from last year.
