LOS ANGELES – For the last time in the 2024-25 regular season, the Pacific women's basketball will be away from the friendly confines, traveling to LMU on Thursday at 6 p.m. inside Gersten Pavilion.
A win for the Tigers (12-15, 8-9 WCC) is critical as the team closes the season with the current top two seeds in the West Coast Conference in Gonzaga and Portland. Within the standings, Pacific is tied for seventh with Santa Clara and just 1.5 games out of fourth place.
Turning attention to Thursday's match-up, the team holds a slim 6-5 advantage when facing LMU (10-14, 4-10 WCC) in Gersten Pavilion but the two schools are tied 12-12 in the overall series. When the Lions and Tigers last saw each other, it was Pacific's bench that provided the necessary spark to win.
Junior
Lauren Glazier scored 15 points and freshman
Daria Nestorov had 10 points in the win to highlight a night in which Pacific's bench outscored LMU's 33-0. Graduate
Liz Smith was the sole Tiger starter to reach double figures with 18 points.
In the previous contest, Smith joined senior
Anaya James in the 1,400-point scoring club and became Tiger number seven to accomplish this feat. Of those seven, Head Coach
Bradley Davis has directly coached three of them and had a hand in coaching four.
Thursday's match will be streamed on ESPN+.
