Women’s Soccer Hosts Washington State in Home Finale

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's soccer program wraps up the 2025 campaign, welcoming Washington State for the final contest of West Coast Conference play at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Knoles Field.

The Tigers (4-8-6, 1-5-4 WCC) will meet the Cougars (6-7-5, 4-4-2 WCC) for the first time as a conference member at home, putting a bow on the season's 11-game slate.
Pacific most recently dropped a 3-1 result to Gonzaga last Wednesday. In that contest, graduate student Taylor Curtis scored the Tigers' goal on a penalty kick. Curtis is tied for the team lead in goals with sophomore Sierah McCallum and junior Whitney Garn at two apiece.

Freshman Lis Van Herwijnen has started 13 straight contests in goal going back to the final non-conference match of the season against UC San Diego on Sept. 1. Van Herwijnen has been the backbone for the Tigers in conference play, supporting a 1.85 goals against average with 60 saves and four clean sheets to her name. Her 60 saves are ranked seventh among goalkeepers in the WCC while her four shutouts are tied for fifth in the league.

Washington State enters the regular season finale following a 3-0 victory at home over San Francisco. The Cougars have also defeated Seattle, LMU and Oregon State this year during conference play.

Leading the Cougars' offense is Jordyn Young with six goals, 13 points and 40 shot attempt (15 on target). WSU has flipped between two goalkeepers for the majority of the season with Keara Fitzgerald and Zora Standifer. Standifer has the most starts with ten to accompany her 0.70 goals against average.

Pacific and Washington State will meet for just the second season in a row in the series history. The Tigers look to avenge a 5-0 loss to the Cougars last year in Pullman, Washington. Saturday's contest marks the first time Pacific will host Washington State at Knoles Field.

The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Dennis Ackerman on the call for the 1 p.m. scheduled kick-off.
