LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The 2025 season ended Saturday afternoon at Gersten Pavilion for the Pacific volleyball team after suffering a three-set loss (19-25, 16-25, 20-25) to LMU.
Sophomore
Alyson Cox had a strong all-around performance for the Tigers (8-21, 2-16 WCC) by flirting with her second triple double of the season. The Boise native swung for an efficient eight kills on 16 attempts while also facilitating for her teammates, picking up ten assists. She would also add six digs, two block assists and a service ace on her final ledger.
The only other Tiger to come close to Cox's all-around production was graduate
Olivia Keller, who finished her collegiate career with a team-high 12 kills. She also had the team's best success at the service line with two aces. On the defensive half of the court, she ended with five digs and a solo block.
Staying on the defensive end of the court, graduate
Valentina Varani got the blocks she needed to reach the century mark after assisting on three blocks during the afternoon. Varani is the first Tiger since 2019 to block 100 balls in a season.
Returning to the offense, sophomore
Alessia Couchond paced the team with 22 assists, ending the season with 549 assists.
Playing her final game in a Pacific uniform, senior
Jayhlin Swain racked up eight digs to finish the season with 360 digs and her Pacific career with 884 digs in two seasons.
Next season the team is poised to return 14 student-athletes to the program.
