STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's basketball program brought in another future Tiger during the Signing Day Period, adding forward Payton Montgomery from Porter Ranch, California.
"We're excited to add Payton to our incoming class. She's a versatile forward who should make an immediate impact as a Tiger. Payton knows winning and has a high basketball IQ, coming to us from one of the best high school programs in the state. I know she'll fit in well at Pacific," Head Coach
Bradley Davis said.
Montgomery is in the midst of her senior season at Sierra Canyon High School where she is a two-time reigning First Team All-League selection. In her most recent campaign, she averaged ten points and six rebounds a game to help Sierra Canyon to a 28-3 record and a perfect conference slate.
"I chose Pacific because I felt welcome by the team and coaching staff. I also felt I would be able to excel academically," she said.
Off the court, Montgomery is a member of National Honor Society and won a Scholar Athlete Award in 2024. Her plans are to major in business.
