SEATTLE, Wash. – The Pacific women's soccer program heads to the Pacific Northwest, facing West Coast Conference newcomer Seattle in the Emerald City at 7 p.m. on Wednesday from Championship Field.

The last time out in the state of Washington, the Tigers (3-5-3, 0-1-2 WCC) earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Eastern Washington on Sept. 21, thanks to a penalty kick game-winner by junior Whitney Garn in the 90th minute. On Wednesday, Pacific will seek to continue its success up north against a new face in the WCC in the Redhawks (4-2-5, 0-2-1 WCC).

As both schools vie for their first conference win of the season, the Tigers will look for a spark on offense from sophomore Sierah McCallum, who paces her team with a pair of goals on a team-high 16 shot attempts.

Redshirt junior Mira Scarsella, a native of Seattle, Washington, will also be a key Tiger to keep an eye out on as she plays in her hometown. Scarsella is one of seven Tigers with a goal on the year to accompany her three shots on goal.

Defensively, freshman Lis Van Herwijnen has started the last six contests in goal for the Tigers, owning a 2.00 goals against average with two shutouts under her belt. Van Herwijnen has now 24 saves in those six games, averaging 4.0 saves per contest.

SU opened conference play with losses to Washington State and Pepperdine before most recently drawing on the road at Santa Clara, 3-3.

The Redhawks have relied primarily on Caroline Penner for their finishing touches as she leads the team with seven goals and 16 points in 11 games. Zoe Hopkins and Kyla Schuster have been effective distributors with the ball, each possessing a team-high four assists.

In goal, Kassidy Kirgan has not missed a starting assignment this year, sporting a 1.64 goals against average and a .684 save percentage in 11 contests. She has a pair of shutout victories over UNLV and Eastern Washington.

Pacific and Seatle meet for just the second time in the series history. The Redhawks claimed the first all-time meeting at a neutral site in 2017, scoring three second-half goals to win, 3-0. Wednesday's match-up marks the first time that the two programs will clash as conference foes on the pitch.

The match will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with a 7 p.m. scheduled kick-off.
